We are now seeking a dynamic **Operations Assistant** to support our Operations Director in the day-to-day running of the business, allowing him to focus on building relationships and expanding our client base.
**Role Overview**:
In this pivotal role, you will assist the Operations Director in managing daily operations, helping to streamline administrative and operational tasks. Your efforts will free up the Director to engage more directly with clients and undertake strategic client meetings. You will ensure that project teams are equipped with the correct resources, paperwork is meticulously handled, and wages are accurately checked. Working with the Compliance Manager and Sales Team, you will make certain that all necessary documentation is in place for smooth, on-time, and within-budget project execution.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide vital administrative and operational support to the Operations Director, allowing him to dedicate more time to client-facing activities.
- Oversee project personnel, ensuring teams have the right equipment and resources.
- Liaise with the Compliance Manager to ensure all health and safety regulations and documentation are in order.
- Collaborate with the Sales Staff to gather essential information for seamless project execution.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and meet budgetary requirements.
- Use HCL’s CRM system, integrated with the Xero accounting package, to handle operational data and financial information.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to keep operations running smoothly.
- Support day-to-day coordination of a 30-HGV truck fleet, 20 jetting vans, and approximately 100-120 staff members.
- Assist in coordinating efforts with the compliance and contracts departments as operations continue to evolve.
**Requirements**:
- A background in the construction industry, with drainage experience as a plus.
- Knowledge of tanker operations and the urgency of deployment in environmental services.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Experience with CRM systems, especially Xero.
- A dynamic personality, capable of adapting to a fast-paced and changing environment.
**Bonus Skills**:
- Familiarity with waste management and environmental cleaning, particularly with pump station cleaning.
- Experience working in similar operational roles with blue-chip clients.

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year

- HCL 24-hour is a day seven days a week possibly: 1 year (preferred)
