Security Officer

Location: Chester

Shift pattern: 2 days 2 nights 4 off.

Shift times: 0700 - 1900 or 1900 - 0700

Rate/Salary: £11.63 per hour based on average 42 hours per week.

Please note: rate will increase from April 2025

We have a new opportunity to join our team on a full time basis as a security officer. This will working for a large university campus in Chester (CH2).

The role is to manage the access to a very active site, you will check ID passes for students, visitors, contractors and staff, including responding to incidents and alarms across the site.

Your daily work will help protect our client’s site, property and valuable assets, resulting in a very satisfying role with significant potential.

You will be the ambassadors for our client; one of the first people that visitors, contractors, and staff see on arrival, setting the tone and ensuring a safe and secure environment.

**Some of the duties will include**:

- Undertaking patrols and inspections in accordance to the site specific assignment instructions
- Access control onto site via foot and vehicle
- Checking ID passes and ensuring no unauthorised persons access sites
- Liaising with staff on site when visitors arrive
- Monitoring CCTV
- Maintaining that all incidents are logged and reported to the control room
- Ensuring Health and Safety polices are adhered to

**Security officer requirements**:

- Valid Frontline SIA Licence
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Computer literacy is essential
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
- 5 year+ checkable work history in line with BS 7858
- Smart and presentable portraying a professional image
- Ability to write clear and concise reports
- Excellent time management skills
- A dynamic decision maker
