**About the role**

We are currently recruiting an Account Manager to join our Northern Sector Sales Team to continue and create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. This role will oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existingclients and actively seek new sales opportunities.

Account management responsibilities will include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. As Account Manager you will also answer client queries and identify newbusiness opportunities among existing customers. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Customer Service and Product Development departments) to improve the entire customer experience.

This role will require regular travel to meet with customers and visit other DS Smith sites, Ideally you will be based within the M8 corridor for access to the Scottish Market.

**About You**
- To be successful in this role you will need:_
- Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
- Solid experience on IT Systems including Microsoft Office Software
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A willingness and ability to travel as the role dictates (Driving Licence)
