Glenbervie Care Home is a purpose built care home completed in 2016. It is a modern facility finished to a high standard. There are plenty of ‘extra’ spaces including a large training room, large activity area, family room, café and pub. As an Activities Co-ordinator you will be a valued member of our team delivering high quality person centred care to our residents.

We would like to recruit an Activities Co-ordinator for Glenbervie Care Home in Larbert (FK5 4RB). The home is a purpose built and is home to 60 elderly (over 65) and adult (18-65) residents.

We are looking for someone like you: Enthusiastic and Reliable to support people in a Care Home Setting.

There will be weekend working required.

The Role:
As an Activities Co-ordinator your focus will be on making the home an interesting and stimulating place to live.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining an inspiring programme of leisure pursuits and social events for both individuals and groups of residents.

**Responsibilities**:

- To maintain a stimulating programme of leisure pursuits and social events for both groups of residents and on an individual basis.
- Produce and advertise within the Home, a weekly social events programme
- To ensure that the social care plan for each resident is in place within three weeks of the date of admission and reviewed regularly.

Required knowledge & experience:

- 2 years previous experience in a caring role or similar background - elderly care experience is a must
- SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is desired, but not essential
- Understanding of the types of activities over 65’s enjoy and adults 18-65 enjoy.
- Knowledge of health & safety in the workplace.
- Managing a budget.
- Ability to motivate and engage people with good negotiation skills.
- Ability to plan a calendar of activities.
- Able to work as part of a team and individually.
- Sense of Fun, Flexibility and ideas for things to do daily.
- Must hold vailed driving license

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 27 per week

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
