**Job Role: Support Worker**

**“Hi, I am visually impaired and have an Acquired Brain Injury. I am currently looking for a Support Worker in the Malton area or nearby. I would like someone who likes tech, can drive, has experience of the gym and likes a bit of adventure every now and again. It would be desirable if they were into sports such as Rugby League and Football.**

**We are looking to recruit a dynamic individual on behalf of our male client. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is seeking a varied and rewarding role. You will work alongside other support workers, family members, the Case Manager and a team of private therapists to provide support in ongoing rehabilitation.**

The role would be for 32 hrs a week Wednesday to Saturday. There will be occasional Sundays and Holiday work away with me. Experience of working with someone with visual impairment would be nice but not essential.”

Personal care duties are not required for this post.

You will be required to follow the client-specific Support Plan and Company policies during your duties. 

You will receive induction training, out-of-hours support, regular supervision, on-going professional development, and additional training.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offender’s Act.

**Essential Criteria**
- Previous experience in a care/support role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexibility
- Punctuality and good timekeeping
- Full Driving Licence
- A good sense of humour
- A great team player with lots of energy
- Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic
- Patient and non-judgemental
- IT literate (for the purpose of completing notes and Assistive Technology around the home)

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience/knowledge working with brain injury clients
- Experience/knowledge working with the visually impaired
- A passion for Rugby League and/or Football
- Experience of working in a similar role
- Qualifications in relation to health and social care

**Rates of Pay/Hours/Shift Pattern**

**Weekdays**:£11.00 per hour

**Weekends**:£12.00 per hour

**Shift Pattern**: 8-hour shifts (9/10am to 5/6pm).

**Please Note**: Support Workers will be employed directly by our client, but will be recruited and managed by Core Case Management Ltd.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
