Saturday, 9.15am - 5.15pm & Monday, 9.15am - 5.15pm (30 mins unpaid break each day)

15 hours per week

**Core Duties**
- Supporting the Store Manager to ensure the efficient running of the store
- Meeting and greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintaining a safe working environment at all times, ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to
- Check new stock, sort and price accordingly
- Restocking throughout the day
- Maintain a clean and tidy shop floor and staff areas at all times
- Handle all types of payment for goods
- Supporting customers to source goods in the shop
- Support the Store Manager to create imaginative displays which show case our eclectic mix of items
- Arrange customer deliveries, following Horsham Matters procedures
- Address any arising health and safety matters, reporting as appropriate
- Support volunteers
- Respond to telephone enquiries
- Minimise stock loss
- Follow gift aid processes to ensure that the Charity maximises potential gift aid reclaim
- Report any critical information to the Store Manager, or in their absence the Managing Director

**Additional Duties**
- Promote gift aid
- Promote the services of Horsham Matters
- You may be required to support our other charitable activities from time to time
- Participate in team building activities

**Person Specification**

**Experience**

**Essential**
- Previous experience of a retail or customer facing environment

**Desirable**
- Visual merchandising
- Experience of working in the charity sector and working with volunteers
- Experience of cash handling

- Able to work under pressure, remaining calm and always presenting a professional environment
