**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage a group of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Develop and implement engaging educational activities that cater to the diverse needs of children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the group, encouraging cooperation and social skills among children.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and any incidents that occur during sessions.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare and education.
- Drive initiatives that promote the nursery's values and enhance the overall experience for children and families.
**Skills**
- Proven experience in early childhood education or childcare settings is essential.
- Strong leadership abilities to manage a team effectively while inspiring confidence in children.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment.
- A genuine passion for working with children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices within nursery settings is advantageous.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences.
**Job Type**: Permanent
Pay: £11.80 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
