**Job Summary**:We are seeking a proactive Purchasing and Operations Operative to join our team.

This position will play a key role managing procurement processes and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services necessary for our operations, supporting business operations, assisting with sales-related activities.

This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics, logistics and effective negotiation skills to secure the best possible terms with suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favorable pricing.
- Order Placement: Generate and process purchase orders for stock and demand.
- Inventory Monitoring: Using our ERP suite to assess reordering needs.
- Cost Management: Analyze cost proposals from supplier tenders.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate purchasing records within our ERP, supplier performance data and order confirmations.
- Delivery Oversight: Address delays and issues related to incorrect or incomplete orders.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Stock Updates: Adjust stock based on data from the warehouse team

**Skill Requirements**:

- Proven experience in purchasing.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Ability and confidence to build positive relationships with suppliers / customers and team members.
- Problem solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Understanding of customer service principles.
