Virtual Health is a transformative approach to the way the Sussex population will receive healthcare in the future. It is based on digital enablement and has been shown to improve the patient experience and outcomes. There is significant national investment identified for Virtual Wards and an operating plan has been submitted to NHSE, which includes a proposed clinical approach.

The next stage of the Virtual Ward programme is to work with partners to implement the approved model and then to continue the development of the approach into the longer term as clinical opportunities emerge. You will need to have good programme management skills, be able to work effectively with partners and will need to be able to reach agreements across the system for the strategic direction of Virtual Health.

You will bring experience of working across health and social care and will have excellent system leadership skills. This role will also require robust programme management skills to enable system leaders to discharge their responsibility to transform services for the benefit of the Sussex population. Negotiation, relationship building, influencing and communication will be key skills that will be utilised to lead the development and delivery of all programme workstream areas.
