**More About theTrunking SupervisorRole**:
As our Trunking Supervisor, you will be a vital member of the team that ensures our trunking operations run smoothly and that each one of our customers receives their appliance on time, every time. You will support our Transport Manager in supervising andorganising the daily operation plan alongside your co-ordinators on site and ensure that we maintain efficiency in everything we do. Always striving for improvement in a high-performance culture you will keep your team motivated and engaged.
**Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing As a Trunking Supervisor**:
- Updating the wider business on the previous night’s performance, including agreed costs
- Managing and monitoring spend vs forecast
- Overseeing the daily plan and that it is achievable and signing it off before publishing
- Monitoring and relaying damage cost to relevant parties and arranging any actions needed
- Communicating with labour providers to ensure strong working relationships
- Planning for resources for future peak requirements
- Being responsible for authorising labour requirement costs
- Ensuring that all employees are adhering to company / H&S procedures to provide a safe working environment for everyone
- Facilitating the development and onboarding of new team members
- Encouraging and supporting a positive working environment

You will have the ability to build lasting, effective relationships with people around you even when under pressure and in difficult situations. You must be smart enough to think on your feet and have a passion to drive our performance paying careful attentionto the service that we deliver for our customers and the output of your team. You will be enthusiastic and driven towards achieving high standards of quality and be bold enough to make key decisions quickly and trust your judgement.
**EXPERIENCE**
- Previous experience within a Team Leader or Supervisory role
- People Management skills including ER processes
- An understanding of Transport, Logistics, Distribution or Warehousing
- Knowledge of transport legislation and compliance to ensure that all of our vehicles are legally compliant
**SKILLS**
- Able to remain calm and focussed under pressure when working to deadlines
- Able to solve problems independently and with confidence
- Have a logical and methodical approach to all tasks
**TECHNICAL**
- PC literate including warehouse software and Microsoft Packages
- Can use Excel to intermediate or advanced level
- A strong communicator
