Cyber Fraud Analyst-technology

As a Barclays Cyber Fraud Analyst in Technology, you will be responsible for the monitoring, alerting, reporting and analysis of emerging cybercriminal tactics, tools and procedures. You will provide key Barclays stakeholders with actionable intelligencethat influences an improved security control posture on digital channel services provided to our clients and customers, and enable a robust cyber enabled fraud prevention posture against the latest cybercriminal attacks.

**What will you be doing?**:
- Conducting deep-dive analysis on both successful and near miss fraud cases to draw out cyber-enabled fraud trends
- Identifying required changes to the banks fraud control systems
- Working with Fraud and Financial Crime teams in the analysis of large and often complex datasets linked to cyber-financial cases
- Generating actionable intelligence and new controls to prevent and detect further attacks against Barclays' customers.
- Conducting and communicating analysis of cyber threat campaigns, threat actors and threat evolution, placing into context the resulting current and future threat to Barclays
- Contributing to the growth of the team's technical capability and understanding of cyber-enabled fraud by utilising suitable tools and analysis.
- Providing advice and guidance to wider Intelligence team in relation to technical matters as and when required.
- Driving and enhancing the operational activity of the Cybercrime team in the monitoring of digital channels to detect cybercrime attacks
**What we're looking for**:
- Strong experience working in either cyber-fraud intelligence collection & analysis or cyber-enabled fraud investigations
- Ability to analyse large datasets including but not limited to internal and external intelligence, fraud and business data in support of cybercrime root cause analysis, Minimum requirement practical experience in SQL/SAS/Hue/Hive
- Experience with fraud detection and prevention systems
- Knowledge of malicious tools including but not limited to eBanking Trojans, POS/ATM malware, mobile malware, webinjects, and phishing kits
- Experience with intelligence analysis processes, including Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and closed source intelligence gathering, social media analysis, source verification, data fusion and link analysis
**Skills that will help you in the role**:
- Practical data science and data engineering skills, ability to source, enrich and prepare data for advanced data analysis using Python and ETL tools
- Knowledge of latest social engineering tactics used by cybercriminals, particularly in the scams space
- Basic knowledge of security network architectures (e.g. Proxies, VPN, DNS, web and mail servers) and the principles of network security
- Experience of using analytical tools and platforms such as Quantexa, i2, Palantir, Maltego, Elastic Search, SAS and MI tools like Tableau and Power BI
**Where will you be working?**
The role can be based in any of our offices in Knutsford, Glasgow, Northampton or London but will not be a fully remote working pattern.
