**Field Engineering Installations Team Manager -**( Remote - (Flexibility and UK wide Travel) - A Brilliant SME role, where making a difference and raising standards and delivering a bigger better more efficient service is critical
A Home and Field based role managing a team of 21 engineers of which 15 are in the field.
Predominately a Mechanical Engineering based leadership role

This is a great role for a very organised manager, FIRM but fair, team player but also commercially astute. You will be hard nosed and have backbone and take no nonsense when necessary but at the same time be the go to approachable leader all teams need.You will reward, recognise, discipline, hire and fire as necessary and mould a team into an efficient field engineering team, delivering outstanding value and high quality service.
Reporting to the MD and working to gel the relationship between Field and Internal functions.

**Role : Responsibilities**
The Engineering Manager manages team of engineers who are responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing Mechanical Handling equipment and components.
Schedules and oversees the installation of products. Being an Installation Manager typically reports to top management. The Installations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs including disciplinary procedures andhas full authority for personnel actions. A first level manager who ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
Onsite visits and customer relations essential.
Management of the sales agenda for the Installed Program to ensure budget plus performance;
- Performs audits of the following on a daily, weekly and monthly basis: P&L Review;
- Jobsite safety audits;
- Recruitment of subcontractors;
- Hiring, recruiting, retention and training needs for operations installation staff;
- Promotes the securing of change orders;
- Leading a Team of Experienced Installers;
- Supervise performance of field installation staff and responds to escalated issues on site;
- Manage installation projects for prevention of project slippage;
- Follows up on customer satisfaction issues and drives resolution;
- Oversees installation delivery and completion;
- Coordinate with several departments related to installation projects.
- You must be an experienced man manager with a mechanical background
- You will be firm and fair. Not be manipulated and be street wise.
- Must be organized and detail oriented with a passion to deliver a top quality Engineering service.
- Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and influence others;
- Ability to travel to job-sites as needed (overnight travel maybe required for work at remote site projects, meetings, and/or training);
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines;
- Strong, planning and reporting skills;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers;
- Proficient with MS Office, Excel, Outlook and Word;
- Strong decision making and analytical abilities;
