Due to significant growth of the company, we are now looking for Maintenance Operative to help our Facilities department. This role will support the wider Facilities team to monitor, maintain and improve the safety and quality standards of our site.

**Responsibilities**

**Safety Inspections**:

- Maintenance and weekly testing of fire alarm, emergency lights. As well as general inspection of fire extinguishers and maintenance of fire doors.
- Take & record readings of reverse osmosis system on stability chambers
- Maintenance and servicing of RO Units
- Legionella Control: Flushing of water systems and recording water temperature checks.
- Taking and recording fridge temperatures
- Inspection of ladders/ scaffold/ platforms
- Daily site security inspections.

**Waste Management**
- Regular site-wide removal of general/recycling waste
- Regular removal of hazardous/special waste

**Maintenance**
- Maintenance and filter changes of boiling hot water taps
- General maintenance duties as required (taps, leaks, toilets, lamps etc)
- Maintenance, inventory control and cleanliness of service areas & storage areas
- Painting and decorating as required
- Assisting facilities engineers with the maintenance and cleaning of AHU’s, VRV’s and other work as required.
- Maintenance & cleaning of dust control units

**General site operations**
- Porter duties - collect goods from reception/warehouse and deliver to recipients as required.
- General housekeeping and janitorial duties as required
- Any other reasonable duties as assigned by line manager or Director

**Essential requirements**
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Possess a good degree of common sense and problem-solving skills
- General/basic awareness of electrical requirements including ability to tag off-lock off equipment
- Confident working at height in a safe manner
- IPAF/PASMA/Fork truck preferred but training can be given
- GMP experience preferred but training can be given
- Familiar with Microsoft Office suite such as word, outlook, power point etc
- Flexible regarding working hours as some weekend working will be required at overtime rates

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
