**Operations Director**

**Based Middlesex, hybrid role.**

**Salary c£70-£75,000 + car allowance, significant bonus and other attractive benefits**

This UK company has become the leading player in its sector and has successfully expanded across Europe. They provide a range of specialist outsourced services backed up with technical solutions to customers ranging from public sector bodies to major nationalbusinesses and organisations.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will give dynamic and inspirational leadership to the Operational Management team to achieve against the company objectives and deliver excellent levels of service to clients, business partners and end users.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the development of the overall strategic plan. Continually reviewing business performance and in conjunction with the Board and other senior managers develop short and medium term plans for enhancing operational effectiveness and service quality.
- With the Regional Managing Director and Business Development team ensure responses to tenders for contract renewals and new business opportunities reflect operational best practice to achieve sustained business growth.
- As required take a proactive role in acquisitions and carry out required due diligence reviews and report findings, plan and implement the successful integration of acquired activity within the company.
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships at a senior level with primary external clients/customers, maintain regular contact with a view to enhancing reputation and growing accounts.
- In conjunction with IT and Technical Projects specify equipment required for service enhancements and improvements
- With the Regional Managing Director, Business Development and Sector leads design the service offering to the marketplace for new and existing service offerings.
- Chair regular meetings of the direct management team to review areas of responsibilities and agree priorities for action.
- Develop a robust set of key performance indicators for all areas of the business and carry out periodic business reviews with the direct management team, to review performance and determine corrective action.
- Develop a robust set of key performance indicators for Health & Safety and Risk.
- Ensure that Heads of Sectors and the Finance team compile and agree annual expenditure, revenue and capital budgets for all operational areas of the business.
- Report monthly on the performance and efficiency of the areas of responsibility in accordance with established Key Performance Indicators and safe systems of work.
- Monitor bids and tender deal books to ensure integrity of cost and pricing structures.
- Previous experience of leading and operational management of a multi-Million Pound business unit.
- Great leadership and man-management skills.
- Clear communicator with good verbal, written and numeric abilities.
- Experience of leading business outsource programmes in the public and private sector.
- Able to contribute effectively as part of the senior leadership team.
- Highly organised, process driven and able to multi-task across different functional areas.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a highly commercial environment.
