**Salvere Support is recruiting Male or Female Personal assistants (PAs**) to work on a 2:1 basis with a young man with severe learning disabilities and profound deafness.
- You will need to be able work 2-3 days per week - 10am-4pm
- Be able to drive a mobility vehicle
- You need to be provocative in your approach, willing to learn new skills and able to work flexibly on a weekly rota
- You need to be confident but have a calm approach
- have experience in severe learning disabilities and communication difficulties
- Knowledge of PICA would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given
- **The company is unable to sponsor employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.**_

**We are offering**
- Hourly rate of: £14 per hour
- Shifts on a fixed rota with overtime for annual leave cover/Sickness cover/Maternity cover
- Contracted hours and annual leave
- Regular supervisions and touch points
- Time and a half on certain bank holidays
- Full and regular training

**The hours on a rota over 7 days a week**
- **PA1- Tuesdays and Fridays
- 10am-4pm
- 12 hours per week**:

- **PA2- Tuesdays and Fridays
- 10am-4pm
- 12 hours per week**

Annual leave cover will be needed at times so flexibility will be needed

**The job**
- Giving emotional support to a person with a severe learning disability and profound deafness
- Supporting personal care
- Administration of medication.
- Providing companionship
- Household cleaning as part of the day to day routine.
- Working well in the team of current PAs
- Prior experience in learning disabilities is preferred but training will be given
- Following the care plan and current safety guidelines

**Training**

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.

We are not able to offer sponsorship

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
