Home Care Worker

**Overview**
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a caring attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or care manager.
- Follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet individual client needs.
**Skills**
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Empathy and patience when dealing with individuals requiring assistance.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills to manage time effectively while attending to multiple clients.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to home care services.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for those who may need to travel between client homes.
