**Main Purpose**: To perform maintenance duties, repair and upkeep of production equipment including identifying and rectifying breakdowns.

**Responsbilities**:

- _Ensure high production availability of machines onsite._
- Ensure all breakdowns are repaired with minimum of downtime.
- Carry out all work according to safes systems of work
- Understand job responsibilities and comply with Company policies and SOPs to confirm to all safe-operating procedures.
- Review repair and maintenance procedures to reduce downtime.
- Maintain a safe and tidy workshop.
- Records changes to electrical wiring diagrams (Electrical-biased Engineer)
- Carry out routine scheduled maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
- Diagnose breakdown problems.
- Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly.
- Carrying out quality inspections on jobs.
- Liaising with other Engineers and production colleagues.
- Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.

**Person Specification**:
**Required Knowledge**:

- Experience of working with machinery, e.g. granulators, hammermill, extrusion machines, colour separators
- PLC operation and fault finding
- Electrical installation of plant (Electrical-biased Engineer)

**Personal Attributes**:

- Excellent Team Player
- Able to work on own initiattives
- Excellent time keeping and attendance

**Shifts available**:
Day Shift, Monday to Friday with callout (rota) and weekend work.

3 shift rotation - Monday to Friday - 9 hour shifts, day shift, back shift, night shift (no call out)
