**Your New Role**:
Our client - Local Government - is looking for an experienced Head of Finance to come in and assist with the other heads of service and provide structure to the social care teams.

**Your Experience / Skills**
- **Local Government experience is preferred**:

- Experience of working within Adults and Children’s social care functions
- When needed, able to represent/cover for the individual services when service Heads are not available, particularly on specific work streams.
- Financial budgeting and forecasting processes, including the coordination of the Medium-term financial and investment planning process for the designated services.
- Managing the day-to-day financial operations by working closely with the relevant Director and his/her team.
- Preparation of financial reports for senior management, programme Boards and others.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Finance team to analyse, collate and validate data, ensuring effective communication of information to Central finance teams and senior management in a proactive manner.

**What you will receive**:

- Rate up to £600 per day (inside ir35)
- A long contract going into next year
