- We are currently looking for an organised and detail driven Specification Technologist to support the Client & Project team based at our Manufacturing site in Cheshire. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role will support the team with all aspects of Specifications to ensure all aspects of the company’s food safety and quality objectives are met._
- You must have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as within the wider team, and have good time management skills prioritising tasks._

**Working hours**:
Monday - Friday 8am - 16:30pm (includes 30 minutes paid lunch break). Hours may be variable dependent on business needs.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the company’s food safety and quality objectives are met
- Compile, review, and update finished product specifications using both generic and retailer portals
- Compile and maintain raw material specifications and coordinate with suppliers to obtain COAs as required
- Keep up to date with legislation to ensure company compliance within specifications
- Manage and approve new suppliers and raw materials, working in conjunction with technical department
- Manage supplier and raw material documentation (e.g. specifications and quality questionnaires) and ensure all documents are up-to-date and relate to the correct product
- Develop and manage production manufacturing specifications
- Work alongside the New Product Development manager to prepare new product information (nutrition, ingredient declaration, label, artwork checks)
- Support the product team with completion of any customer questionnaire or queries regarding product information
- Generate correct outer case labels and inner labels (when required) for the factory and circulate to technical and product team for sign off
- Support in artwork sign off for all products including branded and own label

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00 per year
