Overview:
Due to business growth we are seeking an Intermodal Train Planning Supervisor to join our Felixstowe office. This role is essential for the efficient planning of our train space and the smooth running of our intermodal services to ensure that all rail services are planned within set deadlines, that train fill is maximised and all bookings are accounted for in order to meet customer demands.

You must have excellent communication skills and be able to thrive in a busy high pressured environment.

There will be a requirement to work approximately one in five Saturday's in this role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Efficient planning and utilisation of train space
- Look for additional options to reroute boxes if trains full
- Push/pull boxes onto alternative services as required to ensure import deliveries and export ship catchers are managed
- Manage service failures during service perturbation, ensuring boxes are replanned
- Provide information to internal GB teams as to space on given routes
- Communicate with customers as required
- Assist with solutions to solve customer issues
- Liaise with ports and terminals as required inc. stock lists and priorities
- Liaise with the customers internal departments to ensure smooth planning/running of movements
- Share relevant information with the customer regarding wagons/space available to utilise
- Future planning and looking ahead to notice in advance of opportunities/requirements.
- Complete internal reporting as required

Qualifications:

- GCSE English & Maths at Grade C / 4 or above (or equivalent)
- Customer Service Experience
- Computer literate
- Experience in freight/logistics desirable but not essential
- Experience with IT systems of Scorpio, Destin8, CNS, TOP desirable but not essential
