If you are passionate about procurement, supplier management, and continuous improvement, this is the role for you. **About the Role**: - We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Procurement to oversee all procurement activities, supplier management, and inventory control across our projects. This role is key in ensuring the successful delivery of both prototype and production phases, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, procurement processes, and leading a high-performing team to meet project objectives. - As the Procurement Manager, you will have full operational autonomy, drive change, and play an integral role in achieving company goals while maintaining optimum inventory levels and ensuring accurate data management. **Key Responsibilities**: - ** Procurement Management**: Oversee procurement for all projects and services, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and issuing of materials to build areas. - ** Budgeting & Negotiation**: Estimate, negotiate, and agree on budgets and timescales for prototypes and production quotes. - ** Supplier Relationships**: Negotiate contract terms with key suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards, and delivery timelines. - ** ERP Management**: Maintain accurate data on the ERP system, including supplier, cost, and purchase data. - ** Quality Control**: Manage supplier quality activities from supplier nomination through to production, resolving issues as they arise. - ** Inventory Management**: Ensure inventory levels are maintained optimally to support project delivery while adhering to budgetary and quality standards. - ** Continuous Improvement**: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and drive continuous improvement across procurement, reducing waste and improving efficiency. - ** Team Leadership**: Lead and motivate your team, providing coaching, appraisals, and managing disciplinary matters when necessary. - ** Reporting**: Provide regular performance reports to senior management and ensure KPIs are met through consistent team engagement. - ** Health & Safety**: Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed within the procurement and inventory management functions. **Job Requirements**: - ** Qualifications**: - Professional qualification in MCIPS - ** Experience**: - Demonstrated expertise in managing procurement and production planning teams in an engineering or manufacturing environment. - Automotive engineering experience is highly desirable. - Proven experience with ERP systems (preferably Infor/Syteline) and forecasting in a manufacturing setting. - Expertise in supplier management and the ability to achieve "Right First Time" quality. - Strong background in cost savings, cost analysis, and reporting. - Experience in continuous improvement techniques within manufacturing. - ** Skills**: - Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills. - Strong commercial acumen and critical thinking abilities. - Proactive, decisive, and capable of problem-solving under pressure. - Strong leadership, team-building, and motivation skills. - Data-driven with a keen eye for detail and strategic thinking. - Results-driven and able to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment. **Salary** Competitive**Hours** 40**Benefits** - 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays (increasing with service to 30 days) - On-site free gym - Employee Assistance and Wellbeing Programme - Private Healthcare - Retail Discounts - Loyalty Rewards - Cycle to Work Scheme - Death in Service cover - Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme (plus free independent pensions advice) - Salary Sacrifice EV Car Scheme **Closing date** 03-03-2025
