Are you looking for an opportunity to influence a key programme of work, managing change and planning a key project plan on a nuclear power station? Are you up for the challenge of working on a site transitioning through defueling, to fuel free and finally into deconstruction? At Dungeness B Power station, we’re looking for you to join us in our Project Controls Team to hold responsibility for the control of specific projects, programmes and portfolios of work.

**The opportunity**

Working on site at the power station, you’ll be responsible for supervising the work of a number of Planning Engineers and Cost Engineers and maintaining an overview of all work within the designated portfolio. You’ll be advising, guiding and directing the control and reporting aspects of the designated portfolio of work to ensure compliance and maximise the probability of a successful project outcome.

**Pay, benefits and culture**

We can offer a competitive salary from £71,101 - £84,892 and you’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. This is a full-time role, however the team is based out of the power station, our office at Eureka Park in Ashford as well as having the opportunity to work from home.

**What you’ll be doing**

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing the production and control of baselined, fully logic linked, cost and resource
- loaded plans, utilising approved work breakdown structures and techniques
- Supporting the estimating process to ensure a control estimate is in place for cost monitoring purposes
- Ensuring appropriate levels of project monitoring and control techniques are applied to the portfolio appropriate to the scale and scope of the work to enable the work to be managed effectively and efficiently
- Carrying out review/analysis of project controls on a monthly basis
- Supporting senior stakeholders in the production of monthly reports, through the provision of intelligent information and analysis
- Analysing trends within the portfolio and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.

**Who you are**

A minimum of an HNC/HND in a relevant discipline is required, ideally in an engineering/finance discipline or equivalent. Relevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery, preferably in a highly regulated environment, would be advantageous. You should have a high level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills, alongside proficiency on MS Office and its use for the preparation of reports and information. Your good attention to detail and time management skills, alongside being an effective communicator and presenter are also key. This will factor into your demonstration of interpersonal skills and being successful in a team environment.

A working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation is important, as well as proficiency in the interpretation of estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools. You should have the ability to work flexibly within the demands of the project, while maintaining the procedural and quality requirements of EDF. Being adept in the use of Earned Value Analysis and other performance measurement techniques is also important.
