**Experience**:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Warehouse Administrator to join our team in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Inventory Management**:
- Oversee the day-to-day activities in the warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and record-keeping.
- Maintain up-to-date stock levels and report discrepancies.
- Perform regular inventory audits and update inventory systems.
**Shipment Coordination**:
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and carriers to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure proper documentation is in place.
**Warehouse Operations**:
- Organize and maintain the warehouse to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to track orders, ensure correct labelling, and prepare items for dispatch.
- Ensure proper handling of goods and adherence to safety standards and regulations.
**Data Entry and Reporting**:
- Input and update data into the warehouse management system (WMS) and other relevant databases.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, shipments, and performance metrics as required.
- Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities and transactions.
**Customer Service Support**:
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipments, inventory status, and order processing.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve any shipping or inventory-related issues.
**Compliance and Safety**:
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with maintaining compliance with local and international shipping regulations, including customs procedures.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in warehouse administration, logistics, or freight forwarding (preferred).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices.
**Skills**:
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and other relevant software.
- A degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field (preferred).
**Personal Attributes**:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and manage multiple tasks effectively.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
