**Requirements of Nursery Chef**
- A passion for preparing and cooking healthy food
- A commitment to the highest possible standards of safety and safeguarding
- MUST have at least 2 years of kitchen experience. Nursery/School/Care home experience is desirable.
- MUST have experience cooking for food allergies/preferences/dietary requirements
- MUST have Knowledge and experience with **anaphylactic allergies** and other dietary restrictions
- MUST be dynamic & truly passionate about cooking **yummy** meals and snacks for the children
- Is a team player - teamwork is one of our central values

- To run a weekly cookery class with each focus child, following most up to date guidelines on healthy eating.

**Ideally, you will also have**
- Experience cooking in a children’s day nursery
- Online DBS
- Up to date Level 2 and/or Level 3 Food Hygiene
- Professional catering qualifications
- Available immediately for interview

**The day-day role of a Nursery Chef**:

- To ensure that you provide the very highest quality of food & snacks. We serve 3 meals & 2 snacks a day
- To ensure that you rigorously follow our menus and recipes
- Be prepared to do the washing up We have a dishwasher but the children are always eating and so there is a lot of washing up to get through
- You are part of a team but you must be happy to work alone
- Planning and running of weekly cooking classes
- Design and adapt menus that accommodate **severe allergies and dietary needs**, ensuring safe and inclusive mealtimes for everyone.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,570.00-£26,080.00 per year
