NHS Dorset Integrated Care Board is responsible for planning, allocating resources and providing system leadership to meet these four key aims and central to doing so is having senior experienced clinical leadership. The Clinical Lead for Paediatrics will be a key member of the senior clinical leadership team of the ICB and will have the following core responsibilities: Contribute senior clinical experience to the key programmes of work defined within your portfolio and aligned to ICB priorities. Work in close partnership with management and executive colleagues.

Act as an ambassador for NHS Dorset and the wider ICS, including where appropriate, engaging with media and local stakeholders. Work collectively with other ICB Clinical Leads to ensure experienced multidisciplinary clinical input in all key programmes of work. Work closely with the Chief Medical Officer to provide clinical input into the ICB strategy and prioritisation. Promote a whole pathway approach to care, including prevention and reduction of health inequalities.

Link with the AHSN, Wessex Health Partners and local academic organisations to support innovation and research relevant to area of responsibility. Role model expected behaviours of senior leaders, upholding the Nolan principles, promoting collaboration, integration and open and transparent decision making.
