**Cabin Studio**

Cabin Studio was founded in 2016 by artist Jonny Gent. The inspiration was Gent’s studio in the Highlands of Scotland. The mission is simple: to create spaces built on the pillars of art, food and supplies - mirroring the practice and ethos of his studio retreat.

Cabin Studio currently owns two hospitality brands: Sessions Arts Club & Boath House. Cabin Studio is in the process of raising funds to significantly expand its reach, both nationally in the UK and Internationally.

**Sessions Arts Club** is a 90 seat (plus 20 terrace seats) Restaurant and has been trading for one year, since August 2021. The business opened to great acclaim and is trading strongly. There are two planks to the business: day-to-day restaurant trade and hosting private events.

Sessions Arts Club is a 50||50 joint-venture with our landlords, Satila Studios.

**Boath House** is a sanctuary on Scotland’s northern coast. Located in the Highlands near the bay of Findhorn, Boath House has 10 bedrooms and a four bedroom lodge. Within the 400 year old walled garden is a cafe, store & studio with a cabin & sauna hidden in the extensive grounds. We also provide a creative residency program that moves and shifts with the seasons via its curated collective program.

Boath House is owned by Steve Mayne and Jonny Gent.

**The Post**

The Senior Book-Keeper is responsible for the day-to-day financial management of Cabin Studios and its trading brands.

**The Responsibilities**

Reporting and Financial Control
- To produce financial information in a timely manner, following an agreed timetable.
- To prepare information and report against budgets and be able to explain budget variances
- To work with the Teams to improve the Financial management and performance of the businesses.
- To produce the supporting data that informs: Monthly Accounts, Cash Flows, Weekly Flash Reports, Monthly Payroll & Tronc Reports, ad-hoc reports as required
- To support the Accountant & Commercial Director with the preparation of Business planning and mobilisation
- Bank Reconciliation and Sales Reconciliation
- Event deposit and sales management
- Gift Voucher management
- VAT, PAYE and other Tax data preparation
- Creditor & Debtor management
- Monthly Payroll & Tronc
- Purchase Leger Management, paying invoices in a timely manner
- Stock control processes
- Financial Information security

**Skills & Experience**

Essential:

- Hospitality, Restaurant and or Catering Industry Experience
- Technically strong qualifying experience
- A proven track record of senior Book-Keeping
- Proven experience and understanding of good internal control standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Salary**: £33,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Yearly bonus
