**We are considering both part time and full time applicants for this position. **_

This is a brand new position for our new retail premises which aims to be open in Novemeber 2024. We will operate a grab and go, take away style bakery with a selection of sweet treats, breads, celebration cakes and a hot and cold drinks selection.

Customer service is the main purpose of the job: creating a welcoming, friendly and relaxed atmosphere while conducting all tasks.

**Regular daily tasks will include**:

- Setting up the product items display and updating signage before opening
- Taking customers orders, preparing the orders and completing transactions
- Preparing a range of specialty grade coffees and other hot drinks
- Fielding customer enquiries & promoting the wholesale bakery side of the business
- Generating social media content and liaising with the marketing team in the office as well as deal with enquiries and comments through social media
- Shop cleanliness and following food hygiene regulations are crucial

As this is a retail unit for our bakery, there will likely be occasions where cake decoration and presentation would be required - training will be provided

**Additional Superviser Tasks will include**:

- Supervising staff on shift: coordinating breaks and ensuring daily tasks are completed
- Opening and closing the shop as a keyholder
- Cashing up and financial reporting
- Stock receiving, ordering and rotation

**Finally as with any new role, some set up tasks will be required**:

- Assist with standardizing opening and closing proceedures
- Assist with creating operating and cleaning rotas and checklists
- Contribute to discussions of business and product development in relation to customer feedback

**Required Skills**:
At least 6 months of experience in a hospitality supervisor/management position Working knowledge of food handling procedures / Food Hygiene certificate Level

**Nice-to-have skills**:
Knowledge or experience in cake decorating and finishing
Knowledge or experience of specialty coffee: espresso quality control & latte art
- An interest in these areas would be advantageous, however all training will be provided in both of these areas _

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 39 per week
