Kent, United Kingdom Imago Community Full time

It starts here.

We are looking for a creative, proactive, resilient individual to lead on engagement for our new project being rolled out across East Kent. The service will focus primarily on supporting older people (aged 55 and over) to maintain and improve their wellbeing, and develop resilience and confidence to help them live as independently as possible.

As an Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring current and future service providers effectively manage the changing business model and provide a quality service. You will research, establish, and develop relationships to support the commissioning of services and activities from local providers anything from gardening to bowling to life drawing classes This involves ensuring that activities meet identified needs, deliver experiences that meet Imago’s quality standards, and support people to achieve their goals; making sure providers can deliver services in a cost-effective way. You should be confident meeting and working with providers at all levels, and must have excellent communication skills.

Additionally, you will build on our experience of working with groups, by planning, risk assessing and delivering face-to-face and online sessions to meet need. You should be able to take the lead and motivate and empower others.

To help embed the service, you will promote and market the project using local and social media, organise and attend events, and produce publicity materials. There will also be opportunities for networking and representation.

Applicants should be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to meet set targets, maintain excellent records, and deliver and collate monitoring activities and evaluations.

You should have relevant experience of participating in quality assessment, and working in social care, health, education, or the voluntary and community sector. Knowledge of local services across Swale, Ashford and Canterbury would be helpful, and the ability to build effective networks with cross sector organisations is essential.

This role includes evening and weekend work to be allocated on a rota basis across the team. We have several offices across the area, so base is flexible. Car driver essential.
