Working with a long established Manufacturing client based in Doncaster (DN4), AQUMEN Recruitment is looking to recruit an experienced Quality Technician.

The position of Quality Technician is a Permanent vacancy and is working on a Continental Shift Pattern 06:00 - 18:00, 18:00 - 06:00 averaging 42 hours per week.

The main purpose of the role is to:

- Liaise with the next technician on shift exchanging relevant information ensuring an effective handover
- Fill in all documentation in accordance with procedures and with a high level of detail
- Collect shots from each machine noting down relevant information: Time, Cycle time etc
- Carry out critical dimensional, functional, CCP and visual checks on every machine running in accordance with the control plans
- Raise ‘Process Job Concerns’ with relevant information on for any discrepancies found during the quality checks and pass onto the Shift Manager or Supervisor
- Liaise with the machine operators and warehouse personnel when necessary to trace back to when discrepancies have started
- Manage the holding of potentially defective product using the HFI systems and procedures
- Raise run concessions when applicable for any product purchased or produced which carries a concern necessary to receive higher authorization to pass
- Attend and participate in the Daily Production meetings
- Assist in the carrying out of trials and complete all necessary checks required
- Raise Supplier Complaint forms and collect necessary information and samples to allow them to be forwarded to suppliers
- Ensure affected materials are securely labelled as on hold
- Preparing, listing and archiving all relevant quality documents as and when necessary
- Preparing and distributing customer specific records such as C of C's
- Carrying out quality audits when required according to the schedule with reference to ISO 9000 certification
- Assist in training up new shop floor starters when required on the test methods needed to carry out their on line checks
- When requested train up any personnel in the laboratory so as to cover in cases of holiday or absenteeism in the future
