Aspris are recruiting for a Maintenance manager to join their maintenance team across our 8 Care sites in Ayrshire. We are looking for a passionate maintenance person, who will carry out compliance checks across the sites and their grounds.

Other duties in this role will include:

- Performing general maintenance and repair tasks in the residential Care homes
- Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine necessary repairs
- Install, repair or replace fixtures, appliances and equipment
- Handle basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry work
- Paint walls, ceilings, and other surface as needed
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in general maintenance and repair work
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry techniques
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks

A vehicle along with selected tools will be supplied for this role

Ideally, you will have experience of general labouring skills and handyperson work, along with the following characteristics:
**Communication** - During your role your working environment may involve interacting with our young people we support that may display varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties

**Organisation** - As well as supervising the staff team, you’ll need to be confident and organised in record keeping, ensuring issues are logged on the internal computer systems and keeping up to date with routine maintenance checks.

**Attentive** - No two jobs will be the same so being attentive to understand them and identify areas where we can support is important.
