This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Junior Technologist to join our busy, but super-friendly Technical Team who work across a wide remit of own-brand baby and children’s clothing, nursery and toys. This role is focused on working with our children’s fashion team but may allow opportunities in other areas for development.

You will work closely with desgn and buying, making sure our designs are developed to high quality and safety standards and produced to schedule. We will provide support and training to help you grow within your role.

You will be currently working as an Junior Technologist or equivalent, or ready for a step up with either a lifestyle retailer or supplier background (or both) and are looking to broaden your skills and experience in the variety and complexity of product you tackle.

This role is perfect for someone who will enjoy the challenge of working on a diverse product range.

You will be used to working with high quality product and directly with factories in the far east.

**A day in the life**:

- Attending team production meetings with Technical, Buying and Design to ensure Critical Path is on track.
- Issuing tech packs to our suppliers after breifing
- Measuring and fitting of garments, leading the fit session and taking clear and detailed notes, updating paperwork to send to suppliers.
- Controlling production delivery, when required liaising with Quality Control in DC.
- Updating own knowledge and self-training on legislation & guidelines regarding safety standards.
- Ensuring appropriate labelling and care information is actioned.
- Ensuring required testing is actioned and approved for UK and other countries as necessary - including organising necessary samples, instructing testing, reviewing, approving, and filing results.
- Ensuring key spreadsheets and documentation is completed and communicated.
- Ensuring labelling and packaging instructions are followed

What we look for in you:

- Good understanding of the clothing critical path.
- Great communication skills with the ability to liaise with all departments within JoJo and our supply base.
- Confidence using Excel and similar spreadsheets for the role.
- You’ll have the knack to work quickly and always to a very high standard with fantastic organisational skills and high attention to detail.
- Proven effective time management and an aptitude to learn whilst in the role.
- Good understanding of garment construction, fitting approval and fabric testing.
- You’ll enjoy working under pressure and working to deadlines.
- You’ll be resilient to a changing and agile environment
