**Job summary**:
Exciting role within the User Centred Design team in Digital services to help lead the standard for content design across UKRI for all digital services. You will work closely with members in product management, user research and interaction design, engineering, delivery management as well as with senior stakeholders and external partners.

As a key member of the team, you will provide content design expertise, practices, tools and techniques and work across UKRI to show how content design can ensure user needs are met simply and intuitively.

**Job description**:

- ** Agile working (content design)**. Understand the role of content in multidisciplinary teams and can articulate and advocate it. Work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines in multidisciplinary teams.
- ** Content concepts and prototyping**. Build and create a variety of different prototypes, from paper sketches to coded prototypes. Choose the most appropriate option to visualise content in context for different audiences.
- ** Stakeholder relationship management (content design)**. Negotiate with and influence stakeholders, and manage relationships effectively. Influence decisions, deal with challenging situations and remove blockers.
- ** Strategic thinking (content design)**. Help lead the design and implementation of strategies, evaluating their impact and progress to ensure business objectives and the needs of users are being met.

**Person specification**:

- Experience of working in agile delivery teams
- Experience of content designing large or sophisticated projects/programmes using a variety of user experience design techniques
- Experience of driving content design practices, tools and techniques
- Experience of working in an agile software delivery team: planning, conducting and delivering designs well ahead of the development pipeline.
- Extensive experience of creating, iterating, managing and overseeing content across multiple channels - and identify gaps in content design skills and capability and can help teams grow and develop.
