**Who are we?**

**Purpose**

To support the finishing department at Holmfirth Dyers. Be part of a team, receiving fabric from weaving, for cutting and treating ready to dye and finish.

**Responsibilities**
- Operate the tumbler, bagger or dry cleaner to achieve the correct pre-dye finish.
- Present cut fabric in an orderly manner, checking the correct worksheet remains with each batch between processes.
- Identify the correct fabric type and lengths the order requires;
- Using manual handling aids and lifting equipment including tuggers, combi lift and carts to move fabric between departments.
- Being responsible for safety by keeping stacking and storage areas, walkways, emergency routes and machine access points tidy.
- Following instructions to keep machines in a clean and safe condition.
- Alerting management of any issues, faults or inconsistencies that might affect the quality of the final product before moving fabric to the next department.
- Being prepared to learn new skills as necessary.
- Adhering to health and safety policies and safe systems of work.

**Knowledge and aptitudes required**:

- Good Basic Literacy and numeracy skills
- Good hand eye co-ordination
- Be able to follow instructions
- Physically fit and active
- Good team player also capable of working on their own initiative

**Working Pattern**:
Monday - Friday 4pm-4am
