Andover, United Kingdom Candidate Source - TEAM Full time

A growing business based in Andover, is looking for an experienced (and ideally MCIPS or ACIPS qualified) Senior Buyer to join the team. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
**As Senior Buyer, your responsibilities will include**:

- Managing strategic supplier relationships within the supply chain
- Managing and evaluating risks effectively with suppliers and the risk to the business
- Evaluating supplier’s financial information and manages the findings of the financial evaluation/risk assessment constructively
- Supporting relevant new product build activities involving suppliers as required
- Working with Product Development and suppliers to deliver cost reduction through component re-design, material change and continuous improvement activities
- Acting as the focal person for contact between relevant suppliers and internal customers
- Effectively drafting, negotiating, and implementing contractual agreements
- Taking full ownership of new product parts from order placement through to availability in the factory
- Delivering cost savings through skilled negotiation
