**Indoor Plant Supervisor**

Van Hage, Great Amwell Garden Centre

Full-time, 42.5 hours per week including alternate weekends

We are now seeking a driven and highly motivated individual to join our team as the Indoor Plant Supervisor.

About the Role

The position is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of plant care and maintenance, and be meticulous to detail in terms of product placement, standards and presentation. A good knowledge of indoor plants and previous retail experience at Supervisory level would be useful but not essential.

As a Indoor Plant Section Supervisor, you will be responsible for
- Ordering
- Checking performance reports
- Merchandising and stock exit plans
- POS material in your areas
- Responsible for the retail standards in your area
- Assisting the Seasonal Plant Manager in managing the team

General duties:

- Creating visual and inspirational displays to help sell products
- Maintaining and watering all the plant stock in both outdoor and indoor plants
- General shop floor maintenance and housekeeping
- Assisting customers with advice and carry to car
- Using the EPOS system
- Stock replenishment and merchandising
- Be able to identify slow moving stock and action
- Understand how to manage the sale area
- Follow guidelines on action points following reports and floor-walks
- Print and put out POS material in relevant areas
- Any other duties required by the Seasonal Plant Manager

Deputy Duties:

- Deputise for the Seasonal Plant Manager during holidays and days off
- Organise the team with daily and weekly tasks
- Update the team on instructions and guidelines from the BD Plant Buying Team
- Communicate any issues or concerns to the GCOM, CREM or CATEGORY Manager
