We are seeking a talented and experienced Kitchen Coordinator to join our vibrant team at Wirral Change. Located in the heart of Birkenhead, our establishment is known for its commitment to the ethnic minority communities and providing a safe and comforting place for them to enjoy dishes from around the world. **Responsibilities**: - **Team Leadership**: Lead and inspire a team of volunteer kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the highest standards of performance. - **Menu Development**: Create innovative and appealing menus that reflect dishes from around the world, accommodate dietary preferences, and using locally-sourced ingredients. - **Quality Control**: Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to food safety standards. Conduct regular inspections to maintain a clean and organized kitchen. - **Inventory Management**: Manage inventory levels effectively, minimising waste and ensuring optimal stock levels. Coordinate with suppliers to secure timely and cost-effective deliveries. - **Cost Control**: Implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability without compromising quality. Monitor kitchen expenses and identify areas for improvement. - **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as food hygiene standards.
