**Housing Management Worker - Leicester** **£20,151 per annum - £10.30 per hour** **Full-time permanent position, 37.5 hours a week** **Varied shift pattern including 1 weekend in 5. Bank holidays will be given back in lieu.** **Week 1 = 8am-4pm, Week 2 = 9am-5pm, Week 3 = 1pm-9pm (Example shift patterns)** We are in partnership and collaborating with a fantastic client who are a registered care and support charity, who specialise in delivering homes, services, and innovation for the most disadvantaged communities in Leicester and the South and providing supportto vulnerable adults. They are dedicated to tackling the causes and consequences of homeless in Leicestershire. We are looking to recruit Housing Management Workers at our properties which provide accommodation to people experiencing homelessness. They providethe very best service, and they would love your help to continue that process. **Overview of the role**My excellent client is looking for a full-time Housing Management Worker, based in Leicester to work with their service users who are at risk of homelessness. You will provide support to those who are in need, to try and access the appropriate benefits andhelp with their tenancy. You will be working in their supported accommodation service, alongside a team of Housing Management Worker, to improve the lives of young people aged 16 to 25. The end goal for our service users is to set them up for their futureto leave in their own place and in order to sustain their tenancy and succeed in life. **Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to;** " Providing general practical and emotional support to people in the service in " Life-skills and promoting their learning to re-engage them back into society " Order to promote their independence and recovery " Responding appropriately to chaotic and challenging behaviour to promote the " Well-being of people in the service and staff " Providing support to those at risk of homelessness " Providing an effective and responsive supportive service " Liaise with referral teams/agencies regarding vacancies and referrals. **Required Skills, Experience, & Knowledge** " At least 6 months' experience supporting youths or young adults who are homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless " A driver's licence and access to a vehicle " Flexibility to travel for training for the first week of employment " You need to be resilient, as some service users will be vulnerable and will have challenging behaviour, and other complex needs " Having the right attitude is key, and the most important thing my client is looking for. You need to show your loyalty and they will repay that faith with training and opportunities to grow within their organisation " Computer literate, including Word, Excel, and Outlook **Benefits** For your hard work and commitment, you will be paid a salary of **£20,151 per annum - £10.30 per hour**, and a very desirable employee package
