We are proudly representing our global manufacturing client in their search for a Quality Technician in Sunderland.
**The role responsibilities**:
- 1st response support for process quality issues
- Performing regular quality tasks, such as production checks, audits
- Supporting problem solving, containment, measurement and data gathering activities
- Quick response to customer issues, including on site at customer facility
- Act as the company’s first line/quick response for customer quality issues
- Represent the company in a professional manner
- Perform part rework and improvement, and vehicle retro-fit activities
- Support Production for quality issues and other problem solving activities
- Support the concern management process, including containment, rework, quality alerts, data gathering, measurements, supplier communication, raising concerns and follow-up, and other activities to support
- Support safe launch activities
- Support and lead improvement activities
- Perform Quality checks such as first-off checks, product audits, process audits
- Regular reporting
- Perform measurement studies
- Support quality management and site management objectives and tasks
- Support quality management and site management reporting requirements
- Contribute towards the development and delivery of department and individual objectives to maintain/improve department and business performance
- Work with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain customer and internal quality standards
**The person we're looking for**:
- Excellent organization skills and management of priorities
- Experienced in problem solving leadership with strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate proficiently with internal and external parties
- PC literacy, including a working knowledge of reporting software, e.g. Microsoft Office
- Resilient, self-driven and positive approach
- Prepared to work within remit and across functions/levels as required
- Systematic and logical approach
- Flexibility
