Hiring Room Attendants for Courtayard By Marriott Luton Airport

The salary is £11.75 an hour and the program is flexible - we offer a 20-40hrs/week contract but if you have another job and you can't work full-time you are welcome to work part time as well. If you choose the fixed 40hrs/week, you will start at 9.00 and you will finish at 17.00.

The working conditions are welcoming and humane - lunch is included at the hotel canteen and no matter how busy we are you will be treated with respect and decency. There are also lockers and showers available. We are continuously looking to improve working conditions as much as we can. You don't need to have experience in housekeeping, we will help you learn everything you need to know. If you don't like it and you think the job doesn't suit you, it's not a problem, you will still get a fair reference - we just ask that you give us some time to find a replacement.

A working day for you would look something like this: first you will receive your list for the day (all the rooms you have to clean). Throughout the day you will be supported in your work by the porters. At the end of the day all the cleaners clean their trolleys (refilling chemical bottles, topping up toilet paper etc.).

To calculate everyone's worked hours we use the Workzone app, where you can sign in and out and register your breaks. You can also request holidays there and see your contract and payslips as well. The pay is every two weeks and the first paycheck is received after the first month of work. If you work full time, you are entitled to 28 leave days.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

We are looking for a **summer staff** reliable and friendly room attendant to join our hospitality team during **summer holidays ** in order to provide superb customer service to our guests. There will be possibility to receive contract if your performance will meet our expectations Your duties will include ensuring that assigned rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to a high standard. You should also be able to resolve guest complaints and queries promptly and in a polite manner.

To be successful as a room attendant you must be honest, pleasant, and have detailed knowledge of, and comply with, all housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards.
Room Attendant Responsibilities:

- Greeting guests and responding to queries.
- Changing bed linen and making beds.
- Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
- Sweeping and mopping floors.
- Vacuuming carpets.
- Dusting and polishing furniture.
- Emptying trash containers and ashtrays.
- Restocking beverages and food items in the minibar.
- Cleaning public areas, such as corridors.
- Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.
- Updating status of guest rooms on assignment sheet.
- Returning and restocking cleaning cart at shift end.

Room Attendant Requirements:

- High school diploma, preferred.
- Previous guest service and/or housekeeping experience.
- Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and products.
- Flexible working hours.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
- Physical mobility and stamina.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Professional and polite.
