Weighbridge Operator

**Burlington Stone have a vacancy for a weighbridge operator.**

Burlington Stone are currently recruiting for a weighbridge operator. The role is based at our operational site in Kirkby in Furness. Established in 1843 Burlington Stone is a family run business, and has worked the high quality unique and beautiful natural slate and stone materials found in the mountains and fells of the Lake District and South Cumbria.

As a Weighbridge Operator, you will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring accurate weighing and recording of incoming and outgoing vehicles. You will be responsible for managing the weighbridge system, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional service to drivers and customers. Operational hours span 7:am to 5pm, therefore occasionally you may be required to work additional hours to cover for annual leave etc.

**REQUIRMENTS**
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers and customers.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as and when required

**KEY TASKS**
- To monitor and record all traffic, on and off the Burlington site and direct accordingly to delivery/loading areas.
- Despatch of outgoing products, weighing of delivery vehicles and delivery of documentation.
- Ensuring the operation of all systems within the weighbridge office are maintained in a timely manner.
- Ensure all weighbridge operations are met by trading standards rules and regulations.
- take card and cash payments.
- Manage and process online orders.
- Ensure all personnel entering site have relevant PPE & have been inducted

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.44-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
