As the **Electrical Engineer** your purpose is to provide electrical engineering support to the development of company products and processes through the whole product lifecycle: R&D, design, product launch, continuous improvement and end oflife.
- Work with their design, engineering and production teams to support the whole product lifecycle development from design concept through to full volume production.
- Whilst you will not be required to create design content, you will have the opportunity to work cross functionally with our German R&D teams to support new designs and design changes.
- Supporting production and quality teams with design calculations, failure diagnosis and the development of testing methods.
- Participate in and when appropriate, lead on projects
- Supporting the maintenance of our BOM (Bill of Materials) and engineering drawing databases
- Initiate and lead continuous improvement activities
- Design and conduct experiments as and when required, analyse data and interpret results
- Evaluation of product overall performance, reliability and safety.
- Ensuring products and processes meet specifications required
- Checking that support documentation such as work instructions is consistent with design requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Engineering Change Order (ECO) procedures
- Promoting Engineering innovation, pushing boundaries of existing industry best practice

To be successful in this role of **Electrical Engineer** we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

- Experience of working within a similar role with a design background is desirable. The ability to do electrical design calculations and to read and analyse electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Some experience of using design software (such as CREO, AutoCAD, a circuit simulator, PLC programming, general programming in for example C, Python, VBA, MATLAB)
- An awareness of electric motors, magnets, control systems and their characteristics
- Proven knowledge of Engineering Change Management, DFMEA, PFMEA, lean, six sigma
- Strong customer service skills; able to provide a pragmatic response.
- A strong level of conversational English with strong written, numerical and MS Office skills
- Degree in Electrical or Electronic or Control Engineering (or equivalent)
