Payroll Application Consultant

**About the role** As an Application Consultant you'll be part of Moorepay's Implementation team, as we continue to grow our business and onboard a number of exciting new clients, as well as develop our offering and partnerships with existing customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Change control_
- Assess client’s requirements and identify solutions.
- Provide quotes direct to clients.
- Schedule work based on priority, impact on customer, and revenue to Moorepay.
- Ensure revenue is logged and client billed once completed.
- Update any required processing instruction as required.
- Raise Feature Requests with development if bespoke software is required.
- Document new procedures.
- Handover complex changes to internal team and / or client as appropriate in a non-technical manner.
- Consultancy_
- Advise, support and test interfaces in and outbound.
- Analyse and provide advice on the best technology options such as API and HR to Pay or Mapper.
- Provide on-site and potentially off-site consultancy with clients.
- Pre-sales support_
- Assist the Sales team by assessing prospective client requirements.
- Provide solutions or workarounds if necessary, for any requirements not in scope of the standard implementation build.
- Provide quotes to Sales team for any bespoke work.
- Attend Pre-sales calls where required.
- New business onboarding_
- Create bespoke build requirements with the Implementation Team.
- Schedule and prioritise work to support new business going live on schedule.
- Continuous improvement_
- Develop and maintain good internal and external relationships.
- Consider and discuss new ideas which add value to the customer.
- Support the offshore Kochi team so they can complete work accurately and on time.
- Learn about new product developments and technology and spend time keeping up-to-date with payroll and HR legislation and industry trends.
- UAT_
- Provide UAT for new releases of Moorepay hr as part of the Early Adoption Programme.
- Provide UAT of bespoke software and, where agreed, also QA.
**Skills and experience required**:
- Payroll experience with formal payroll qualification an advantage and / or HR experience with formal qualification an advantage.
- Change Management experience.
- Report writing skills - Moorepayhr and IBM Query knowledge an advantage.
- Ability to work unsupervised and make decisions without guidance.
- Works well to deadlines with appropriate prioritisation skills.
- Flexible approach to working and problem solving.
- Supports other teams (including Payroll Operations, Tech Support, Projects and Helpdesk dependent on the resource requirements of the larger team).
- Highly customer focused.
- Good level of business awareness, including revenue opportunities.
- A working knowledge of the Outsourcing business / SaaS an advantage.
- Good technical knowledge of HR and payroll systems.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
- Can build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A drive to learn and develop.
- Embraces change as new technology is introduced.
