**About Emily Scott**

Emily Scott - To put it simply, Emily is passionate about food and it is in her kitchen where she feels most at home. She loves nothing more than delighting others through food, bringing friends and family together around the table.

Emily’s passion for the connection between food, a sense of place and storytelling is infectious, intriguing and comforting all at the same time. Her story is one which interweaves the sentimental tales of a childhood in Provence with her grandfather ‘Papa’ collecting strawberries from the fields to the hum of crickets in the warm sunshine, to the beautiful shores of Cornwall and golden sandy beaches. Experience and memories are translated into ingredients which collectively are heightening into simplistic, rustic dishes which are easily recreated at home.

We currently have excellent opportunities in front of the house to join team Restaurant Emily Scott. You need to have experience in a similar restaurant environment and be enthusiastic, driven and have a passion for great food and service, be customer focused, a people person and the ability to work within a team.

**Front of house responsibilities**
- Making sure every guest that enters the establishment is greeted in a warm and professional manner.
- Engage with guests and build a good rapport.
- Providing the highest standard of service at all times, in a consistent manner with the rest of the team.
- Completing daily pre service tasks efficiently and thoroughly.
- Be proactive, look for tasks or ask a manager/supervisor on duty for job
- Show initiative in your role; Ask questions about the menu, service expectations and beverages.
- Ensure you have a good understanding of the bar so you can assist when needed.
- Always communicate with the whole team especially during service, ask for help if needed.
- Ensuring all our guests leave happy is our job as a team, however, if there is an issue, discuss this with the manager on duty and work out a plan together.
- Be here and ready to work at your shift start time, if not earlier.
- When the situation is right, always look to up-sell to guests, but never try to push this onto them.
- Take pride in your work, all cutlery, crockery and glassware is polished to a high standard, and restaurant tables should look impeccable.
- It is your responsibility to look professional and well presented at work, long hair must be tied back, finger nails kept short and clean, no nail varnish, jewellery kept to a minimum, and personal hygiene to a high standard.
**About the perks**
- On top of your hourly pay you have the ability to earn £2/£3 per hour in tips

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
