**What will you be doing day to day?**
The Early Years Educator provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to promote their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. They create and implement an age-appropriate curriculum, observe and assess children's progress, communicate with parents or guardians, and ensure a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.
**Nursery: Lara Nursery**, Thirsk
**Location**: Thirsk, North Yorkshire
**Job Type**:Full Time/Permanent
**Hours of work**: 38 hours over four days
**Responsibilities**:
- Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate activities to foster learning and creativity.
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment.
- Observe and assess children's behaviour, progress, and development to identify individual needs and plan interventions.
- Collaborate with other educators and professionals to support children's holistic development.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's development and learning.
**Requirements**:
- Level 2 or above in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or licenses as per local regulations (e.g., CPR, first aid).
- Knowledge of child development theories and early childhood education practices.
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
- Creativity and adaptability in designing age-appropriate activities.
- Observation and assessment skills to track children's progress.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
