We have an exciting opportunity for a Copy and Content Writer to join our Digital and Marketing team here at Hastings Direct.

This is a supremely exciting time for Hastings Direct - we’re undergoing a deep digital transformation, with the whole business pointed towards digital adoption for customers.

As part of this process, we’re now joining up the dots for our copy and content. We want to make every touchpoint (and word) count for our customers. While we’re overhauling our transactional comms with an update in Tone of Voice, that’s just the beginning.

Being able to think like customers, manage multiple tasks and communicate your enthusiasm for opportunities with colleagues, from the boardroom to the person on the desk beside you, will give you the pathway for a varied and successful career.

About the role:
But content is just one piece of the jigsaw. We’re also looking to social as another meaningful platform for our customers. This requires a deep understanding for the role of content in social (how to link the two and what the best practises are), as well as the rigorous social skills to write it.

In addition, we’re making more of CRM as part of the customer journey. So, an excellent knowledge and experience of CRM is vital. This role simply won’t work without it. It goes without saying that working on a variety of other brands would be great too - with all the experience and learnings that brings.

**Responsibilities**:

- Research and execute a 12-month editorial calendar, including best practice content recommendations.
- Research, write, develop and implement content pieces - including best practice SEO practises.
- Research and create a 12-month social calendar, including best practice social media principles.
- Research, write, develop and implement social media posts - including social media best practices across all platforms.
- Take the lead in copy best practice for CRM - executing it appropriately for marketing purposes.
- Script writing for both video and animation assets.
- Flex the Tone of Voice for both CRM and transactional communications, making sure it’s always tone appropriate.
- Employ strong stakeholder management across the business and at all times.
- Engage in every task with a collaborative, positive and proactive mindset.
- Work collaboratively with other copywriters, content managers and product designers.
- Help to create seamless user journeys for our customers.
- Work simultaneously on multiple projects with different objectives - and meet deadlines.
- Act as a champion of our Tone of Voice.
- Influencing senior stakeholders as to the role and best practice of copy.
- Take instruction from across the business and business owners to create and develop copy.
