Kitchen Assistant (Hospitality Lounge) - Based at Manchester Airport - Permanent Contract - 30 hours per week - £10.46 per hour which includes shift allowance **About us**: MAG is the UK’s largest Airport operator. We own and operate Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands Airports along with MAG USA, a major Airport services business based out of Chicago. Our Hospitality Lounges here at Manchester Airport ensure our customers start their journey in the best possible way. We operate our unique Escape and 1903 brands which give guests the opportunity to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of ourmain terminals. **About the role**: As our business is growing, and our passenger numbers increasing, we are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant to join the business at this exciting time. Our Lounges here at Manchester Airport provides our customers with the very best start to their journeys. Duties will include: - Assisting the lounge team with the delivery of an excellent lounge experience. - Ensuring the kitchen and all storage locations are kept clean, hygienic and adhere to all health and safety standards. - Washing all crockery, cutlery and light equipment. Any oversized equipment that will not fit in the dishwasher should be washed in designated sinks using the correct Ecolab chemical. - Cleaning kitchen ovens, fridges and floors in accordance with operating standard. - Ensuring that any crockery, cutlery and equipment is stores correctly and that floors and fire exits are kept free of any obstacles. - Monitoring all waste disposal bins ensuring waste items are recycled by placing in correct waste disposal bins and adhering to the waste policy. - Reporting any maintenance issues - Clearing all breakages and spillages, following operating procedure and dispose of them correctly. - Ensuring that only Ecolab chemicals are used for cleaning. - Taking receipt of all deliveries, ensuring that all items arrive and are correctly put away ensuring stock rotation. **About you**: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Attention to detail - Previous experience in a similar a role is desirable. **Benefits;** As a MAG employee you will have access to some great benefits including: - Access to "Benefits me" reward portal - All colleague annual bonus scheme - Uniform provided - Meals and drinks whilst on duty - 24hour Employee Assistance Programme - Tax free airside shopping (Airside pass holders only) - MAG Pension scheme - Discounts on tram and train travel to work - Discounts on MAG products such as Escape Lounges and holiday parking at our other Airports **Additional information;** Flexibility will be required as the lounge is open 7 days a week and your shifts will fall between the hours of 5.00am - 9.30pm.
