**More About theTrailer Repair Technician **Role**: Our VMU Technicians work closely with our Transport Manager, Outbase Managers and Transport Supervisors and they ensure that our operation runs smoothly. They are responsible for each of our vehicles, making sure that they are maintained to the highest standardand comply with current H&S legislation. On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be repairing defective vehicles and trailers using the correct methods of repair. Our fleet includes light commercial, HGV’s, conventional and double decker trailers. You will be required to have a can do attitudeto completing work in a timely fashion. - Salary: £27,977.37 - £29,432.91 per annum - Hours: 4 on 4 off, 8:00am-20:00pm (40.25 hours per week) - Job Type: Full time and permanent contract - Location: AO Logistics, Weston Road, Crewe **Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing As OurVMU Technician**: - Repair trailer curtains with rips and tears - Repair / replace damaged flooring on HGV trailers - General repairs to the HGV trailer fleet - General maintenance of the AO Logistics fleet - Identifying and fixing faults - Making improvements - Keeping accurate records - Exceed quality and safety standards - Adhere to all necessary company standards and Health and Safety procedures - Recording all repairs and parts that have been used **A Few Things About OurTrailer Repair Technician**: - Must hold a clean driving licence (essential) - Previous commercial vehicle / HGV trailer repair experience (essential) - Understanding of vehicle legislation (essential) - Capable of working to a high standard - Excellent attention to detail - Team player and be able to work upon your own initiative - Qualifications in Welding, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance/Repair or Vehicle Body Building (beneficial) **Why Choose AO**: Our people are our superpower, and that’s no accident.
