Vehicle Rental Management Trainee

**About Us**
Senior Car & Van Hire, established in 1982 is now ran by the second generation of the Senior family. We currently run a rental fleet of up 250 vehicles across multiple sites including a garage workshop and retail forecourt. Our rental department specializes in supplying a range of cars, vans, minibuses, and truck into both corporate and retail customers.
**Role Summary**
**Key responsibilities**
Every day will be slightly different you will be expected to take on multiple roles within the business and provide support where necessary within the business. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop strong lasting relationships with both current and prospective local business users.
- Verify customers identity and ensure they meet insurance requirements to hire a vehicle.
- Process customer payments, refunds, and balancing payments at the end of day.
- Able to think outside of the box to problem solve under pressure.
- As well as the rental department offer support in accounts, admin as well as the garage and rental reception in Market Harborough.
- Carry out vehicle checks and inspections whilst handing over vehicles noting new damage in and out of branch.
- Manage drivers’ routes and logistics for the day.
- Manage vehicle faults and damage with internal and external suppliers.
- Assist with our drivers to help deliver and collect vehicles from customers, dealerships and other branches.
**Qualifications and Attributes**
- Must be confident and charismatic when interacting with customers.
- Possess a positive attitude and get stuck in where and when needed.
- Applicants must have held a licence for more than two years.
- Must be a confident driver able to manufacture and park in tight spaces with large vehicles.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Your main place of work will be at our Oadby branch but on occasions you will also be required to provide support in our Market Harborough Site. The role is Monday to Friday with alternate Saturdays. When working a Saturday, you will get a day off in the week. Mondays 7am-5.30pm. Tuesday - Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm. Saturdays 8.00am to 4.00pm. Hours lunch break.
**Salary**: £25,564.50-£26,676.00 per year
