**The Role**:

The Operations Innovation and Markets Senior Specialist (Power) will be based in London and will report to the Innovation and Markets Team Lead who sits on the SE Operations Leadership Team. The role will work closely with Power Trading, Origination, Shell Energy Europe and Africa Operations, IT and other support functions. This role has line manager supervisory responsibilities for a team of Innovation and Markets Specialists (Power) accountable for all aspects of managing the team and individual performance and development.

**What’s the role?**
- Leading and building a high performance team of Innovation and Markets Specialists (Power). Managing all aspects of performance and personal development. Responsible for prioritization of efforts and building capability of the team.
- Lead cutting edge capability development through measurable transformation of process, people and IT technology. Expert on operational processes and IT systems:

- Accountable for the Power Operations Improvement Roadmap, providing excellent visibility on progress against plan, estimating and tracking investment budgets, setting governance, escalating risks and championing achievements to assure recognition
- Shape, gain buy-in and commitment for delivery of improvements, monitor and report out on delivery through implementation lifecycle from concept to adoption of improvement
- Partner with IT, Business Managers and Commercial Delivery teams to select and implement (full lifecycle; scope, design, build test & deploy) the Digital solutions of the future
- Lead Commercial Operations (Power) Endur design and implementation efforts as part of a significant ETRM transformation project
- Ensure a stable foundation:

- Accountable for the Power Operations Performance dashboard
- Understand current process structure, measure performance and use data / KPIs to continually improve processes
- Facilitate culture change within Operations:

- Proactively lead engagements with Trading, Commercial Delivery, New Energies, IT and other functions
- Champion use of Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
- Listen to and understand the needs of stakeholders and seek out new Digital solutions that will meet these challenges and bring competitive advantage to Shell. Build business cases and gain support for delivery
- Re-energise collaboration, excellent stakeholder engagement to bring together teams and cross business capabilities to deliver new solutions necessary to make new deals and new market entries possible
- Lead / bring together focus groups for innovation in Operations, connecting the various pockets of excellence in Shell to leverage the best that the organization can offer to improve operational performance
- Capture and share learnings and best practice from both internal and external experiences
- Opportunity for membership and active participation in the SE Operations Extended Leadership Team
- Stepping up to provide cover for the Markets and Innovation Team Lead when necessary

**What we need from you**
- Passion to lead improvement delivery and collaborate with others
- Working experience of Endur or Endur implementation experience
- Deep knowledge of European power operations, networks and regulatory frameworks
- Passion for digitalization - identifying and driving automation and improvement opportunities. Simultaneously manage a range of business and IT projects and improvements
- Drive for cross commodity innovation and automation
- Develop business relationships with stakeholders, customers and IT vendors
- Proactive in developing the capability and managing performance of Power improvement specialist team
- Excellent analytical skills, be able to make accurate decisions under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrate a Learner Mindset to continuously improve performance of the business and oneself. Promote achievements both personal and of the team. Partner with others to achieve greater outcomes
