We are looking for a multitasked role within our machine room, which is fully equipped with the latest machinery including Biesse Akron 1330 Edgebandger, SCM CNC, Panel saw.

In addition, we are looking for someone who wants to progress and develop with the company, learning programming and back-of-house skills in preparation for the machine room.

**Experience & knowledge is required but not limited to**:

- Must have at least 2 year experience in a similar working environment
- Ideally experience in a furniture or kitchen manufacturer
- Experience operating a CNC and Edgebander
- Experience of hand-tool use as well as other work working machinery is desirable
- The ability to follow instructions, direction and to work methodically and accurately
- To be able to follow manual cutting lists and drawings
- Ensure smooth and on time levels of production to maintain the schedule
- Quality checking of your work and that of others in the machine room
- An eye for detail and to act upon challenges, developing long-term (not quick fix) solutions, seeking assistance and support from machine manufacturers
- Adhere to safe working practices at all times, avoiding shortcuts
- Good timekeeping and attendance record, arriving on time in the morning prior to 8am start to settle
- Stock control of 18mm and 8mm board, various edging tapes and other products used and being accountable for
- To be flexible in your approach, adaptable to the business needs and supportive of your colleagues
- Require mínimal supervision and be capable of working independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills

**Information**:
Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm

Friday 8am - 3.45pm

40 paid hours per week

Lunch 45 mins (unpaid)

Pre-agreed overtime is paid at flat rate

28 days holiday per full holiday year, includes Bank Holidays and some holidays to be taken over the Christmas shutdown

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.00-£12.00 per hour
